Kind Is Better eTwinning Project
About the project
When children begin to interact with their environment, they sometimes exhibit undesirable behaviors. Our goal in the project is to enable and encourage students to put themselves in others' shoes, both human beings and living beings, gaining greater awareness about the importance of proper behaviors. Most activities will be based on a collaborative use of the IT. The project also will involve teachers and student's families. Partners will use both English and their own language.
AIMS
Students discriminate correct and wrong behavior about themselves first and then the others. They carry out their assigned tasks independently and collaboratively, demonstrating their sense of responsibility. They express emotions while respect those of the others through creative writing, storytelling, drama, games, drawing...
Students reflect on their behaviors with friends, teachers and family members. They show respect for living beings and the environment around them.
WORK PROCESS
Nov.: Meeting and introduction. Pre project survey (Parents , teachers, students) in own language. Logo working and choosing with survey. Wordclouds creation on kindness concept. Participation in the World Kindness Day (Nov. 13). Partners choose and share tools to "measure" their behavior.
Dec.-Jan.: Behaviour at school.
Feb.-Mar.: Behaviour at home.
Apr.-May: students-environment
To prepare a concept map about positive and negative behaviors(in our own language and English). Creative dramas involving behavior will be designed. (sharing videos with subtitles in English and send them to other partners). Students who receive the video will watch and discuss it. The students will assign a simple task to the partners about the behavior designed, explaining them the instructions(through video-tutorials, photos). Create storybooks; someone will start the story, the other one will complete. Introduction of the best students kind actions of the months by each partner and mutually rewarding
EXPECTED RESULTS
Project final product: a collaborative magazine useful to show the main project results.
The students will learn to reflect on their own behaviors in the different situations, improving their level of kindness, responsibility, respect for others, autonomy.
