Student Detectives 2: Another Case of the Mystery Countries eTwinning Project
About Our Project
Six classes from six different countries, working in different pairs each month, will try to reveal each other on mystery online teleconferences. After revealing a country, the students will open its culture box and learn actively about life in this country.
AIMS
Students from different countries will interact with each other, using English as a common language in real-life conversations. They will use ICT tools to prepare their culture box and present life in their own country. They will use anal.ytic skills to locate the mystery countries and learn about life in them.
WORK PROCESS
September: Teachers' planning
October: Assignment of code-names in classes and logo contest
October-November: Preparation of the culture boxes by all countries
December to April: Each month every school is assigned to another partner. They try to reveal each other's identity in a mystery online teleconference. When the pairs are revealed, every school opens their partner's culture box and learns about life in this country by actively doing activities from the box.
May: Project evaluation and creation of a final e-magazine with all the project's activities
EXPECTED RESULTS
The final product will be an electronic magazine with all the project's activities. In the end of the project, via these activities, the students will have learned about life in other countries, they will have actively participated in activities from foreign culture boxes and they will communicate with students in their age.
