Twin Academy With Little Explorers eTwinning Project
ABOUT OUR PROJECT
The "Twin Life Academy With Little Explorers" project is an interactive project designed to learn and practice four different daily life skills in a fun way. This project aims to use Web 2.0 tools for students to learn and improve their skills on topics such as folding clothes, making the bed, tying shoes, sewing buttons, sports exercises, healthy eating and using digital tools.

Teachers Survey
This year's ‘Twin Life Academy With Little Explorer’ eTwinning project was very productive in terms of helping our students develop their daily life skills, gain awareness and work together. 100% of the teachers who participated in the project stated that they would like to take part in a similar eTwinning project next year. This demonstrates both the success of the project and the extent to which it has been embraced by teachers.
Through the various activities organised as part of the project, our students made noticeable progress in their basic life skills. For example, within the scope of the “Housework Stars” activity, 66.7% of teachers responded “definitely agree” and 33.3% responded “agree” that students showed improvement in skills such as making beds and folding clothes. These percentages show that the activities had a direct impact on student behaviour.
The “Functional Fashion Workshop” event was effective in helping students acquire manual skills such as button sewing and shoe lacing. 77.8% of participants ‘strongly agreed’ with this achievement. Similarly, content related to healthy eating and local recipes also raised awareness among students. In the evaluations of this activity, 77.8% of participants responded ‘I definitely agree.’ This shows that the project successfully achieved its goals of both practical skills and awareness creation.
Through shopping scenarios conducted as part of the “Mini Economists” activity, students better understood the difference between needs and wants. According to the survey results, 66.7% of participants stated that this activity was very useful. Such applications contribute to the learning of abstract concepts through concrete experiences.
According to teachers' observations, the most notable developments in students participating in the project were in the areas of daily life skills, responsibility and teamwork. 88.9% of participants stated that there was a clear improvement in these three areas. In addition, 66.7% stated that cultural awareness was gained. This shows that students have developed not only individually but also socially and culturally.
In conclusion, the Twin Life Academy With Little Explorer eTwinning project is a successful initiative that strengthens both the individual and social aspects of students and generates high satisfaction among teachers. The gains achieved are concretely supported by the results of the survey conducted at the end of the project. This serves as a strong reference for encouraging similar projects in the upcoming academic year.

Parents Survey
96.9% of parents who participated in the survey stated that they wanted their children to participate in the eTwinning project next year. This high percentage shows that the project has had a positive impact on both students and parents. This result reveals that students enjoyed the activities, their motivation increased, and the project supported learning by meeting expectations. At the same time, the project's fun, engaging, and developmentally beneficial structure is a clear indication that it has gained parent support.
70.8% of parents selected ‘I definitely agree’ and 18.5% selected ‘I agree,’ indicating that they observed improvements in their children's daily life skills. A total of 89.3% stated that their children had improved in basic skills such as folding laundry, making their beds, and tying their shoes. Such skills support children's independence and self-confidence, especially in early childhood. The project's focus on practical life skills as well as academic skills is highly valuable.
In this particular activity, 64.6% of parents said ‘I definitely agree’ and 26.2% said ‘I agree.’ In other words, a total of 90.8% stated that their children took on household responsibilities more willingly. This shows that children have developed a sense of duty and a habit of taking responsibility. The project contributed to values education and character development as well as academic goals.
69.2% of parents said ‘I definitely agree’ and 18.5% said ‘I agree’ that there was a noticeable improvement in their children's manual skills (e.g., buttoning buttons, tying shoelaces). Such skills are extremely important for children's self-care skills in preschool and primary school. This activity enabled children to perform daily tasks more independently and developed their sense of self-efficacy.
Regarding the ‘healthy eating, preparing meals with local recipes’ activity, 69.2% of parents said ‘I definitely agree’ and 21.5% said ‘I agree.’ In other words, a large majority of 90.7% agreed that this activity helped raise awareness about healthy eating. Children's recognition of healthy foods, participation in the meal preparation process, and interaction with recipes from the local culture have both positively influenced their eating habits and strengthened their cultural awareness.
69.2% of parents said ‘I definitely agree’ and 23.1% said ‘I agree,’ indicating that children are better able to distinguish between needs and wants. This shows that a basic awareness of financial literacy can be established. Instilling this awareness at a young age is invaluable for children to become more conscious consumers and planned individuals as they grow older.
Finally, 75.4% of parents selected ‘I definitely agree’ and 21.5% selected ‘I agree,’ indicating that the project made a significant contribution to children's life skills. This 96.9% satisfaction rate clearly shows that the project achieved its fundamental objectives. Children's participation was increased at every stage of the project, the learning process was supported by games and experiences, and the gains were made permanent.
These results show that the eTwinning project carried out by Twin Life Academy and Little Explorer has achieved its intended outcomes, adding value to students in terms of both individual and social development, establishing effective collaboration with families, and adopting a holistic approach to education.
