About Our Project
About:
The project aims to raise children's awareness of protecting and respecting the environment through knowledge of the beauties of our planet Earth, with a focus on the Green theme.
A profound respect for the environment goes beyond the concepts of utility and necessity to reach those of beauty and well-being. The project, in fact, aims to promote the importance of caring for greenery from an early age through education in the BEAUTY of green living as an essential experience that promotes our well-being and our sense of belonging to the Earth. The project, starting from the observation and analysis of the spaces in which we live (school, home, town...), aims to involve students in becoming protagonists and supporters of a green transformation, making them responsible for caring for the landscape. The activities will range from knowledge of the typical plants of each partner's territory and their characteristics, to their use in the kitchen and in the healthcare sector, up to the representation of greenery in art, literature and cinema. To this end, civic education workshops, educational gardens, direct field experiences and creative activities will be offered, also with the involvement of parents.
The path includes various moments of reflection and sharing between students, of open exchange and knowledge with partners, through the creation of cooperative products and peer-to-peer activities.
Aims:
Students will reflect and deal with some questions as: How does our perception of living a space change if we introduce plants? How do plants make our food tasty? How do experiences in nature help our well-being.? How does green enrich creativity in art, literature and cinema?
